Mark Summers

Originally from Yorkshire, Mark Summers has idolised Elvis Presley since he was a child, watching movies on the television which fed a growing ambition to follow in the footsteps of The King. Himself and his mum used to watch Elvis movies together and Mark then began to ask more and more questions about the great man himself. After a while his mum got out the old Elvis records and, like many before him, he had become hooked on his music.

Having travelled the world Mark’s first major tour abroad as Elvis took him to Cyprus where the Cypriots voted him as their number 1 Elvis Presley tribute. After moving back to the United Kingdom Mark started working with some of the Presley family and soon made his mark as one of the UK’s top Elvis Presley tribute artists starring at the countries top venues.

Much more recently Mark has actually met and worked alongside some of the original Elvis band members as well as Larry Geller, who was Elvis Presley’s personal hairdresser and close friend.

In August 2014 Mark had the privilege the meet the ex-wife of Elvis Presley in Memphis, with Mark describing the experience of meeting Priscilla Presley ‘like no other’.

At 12 years old Mark also made his first television debut. More recently Mark has been making a number of television and radio appearances, both in the United Kingdom and abroad, which includes working with the BBC.

A more recent appearance at the Hippodrome Theatre in the West End has seen Mark come a long way in a shirt time, having won a national award for tribute acts in 2013 / 2014. Mark now performs as a dedicated Elvis tribute act all over the world.
