Steve started to work as a DJ in 1984 he has worked solidly for 6 nights a week ever since. Steve reached the top 10 twice in the National DJ of the year competitions and also worked pre-match entertainment at Old Trafford (Manchester United Football club). Steve also works in pubs doing quizzes and theme nights.
 

Lee Valentine-- 'Karaoke DJ of The Year' for 2008!
Lee has been a DJ, Karaoke/DJ and singer for 20 years joining Unit One in November 2006. Over the years he has won several singing competitions and was lead singer in a band for 2 years. He loves to interact and entertain people making sure all ages enjoy their event. Versatility is important and due to his experience he can adapt to all occasions at any venue including weddings, anniversaries, birthdays and corporate events etc. He only uses the highest standard of audio and lighting equipment, always keeping up to date with music and the latest karaoke releases. Lee believes it is important to have a wide range and style of music from 60’s to present, which he achieves by also using a computerised system.

Alan Greenhalgh
Alan has been DJ for the last 13 years. He is experienced in 18th and 21st with music to match. Alan has extensive experience with weddings and working in hotels, he has worked with bands and cabaret artists. Alan specialises in theme nights with 70’s and 80’s disco’s, back to school discos and can also do various costume changes into different characters. Alan is a reliable, conscientious and fun loving DJ who can give any party a night to remember.

Matt Tolley
Matt has been working as a DJ for nearly 10yrs at numerous venues and events from weddings to christenings, hotels to nightclubs. He is currently one of the resident DJ's at Tiger Tiger Bar Manchester (Manchester best bar none winner 2008).
At 6ft10 he is one of our biggest and best dj's. Music varying from the 70's, 80's, 90's to all the latest chart topping hits. He also has a amazing light show and sound system.

Scott Stevens
Scott has worked for a number of major companies within the entertainment industry before settling with Unit One, and now with the fine pedigree that Scott has, you know that he's a DJ at the top of his gain. Club and bar work is what he does best and working for such companies indicates that he has what it takes to be a fun entertaining DJ, who has the ability to fill dance floors and create a top atmosphere for any venue.

Glenn Stephens
Glenn has been in the entertainment business for over 10 years, he originally started DJing with his father Kenny Stephens and over the years worked his way up to be a polished professional full time working DJ. Ever since Glenn has successfully performed at many of the North West's major venues, working by himself and occasionally with other performers. He will personalise and tailor each and every event to make it special, he has worked school leavers balls right through to 70th birthday parties.

Penny Mac
Penny Mac is a multi-talented artist who is at home performing as either a DJ, female vocalist or instrumentalist. In whatever role she takes on, she is happy to perform in whatever style of music you require from easy listening and ambience music through to non-stop dance sets.
As a DJ Penny prides herself on keeping up-to-date and always includes current chart hits in her playlist - keeping the younger audience happy and at a volume the more mature can handle! As a professional and experienced DJ Penny can cover any occasion or event. Playing to all ages, she goes on the road as a fully equipped Mistress of the Decks complete with a full range of disco P.A. and lighting.

Julian Sobczak
Julian has 30 years experience DJ’ing and has covered every sort of venue from a table top house or pub set up through to most major and independent hotel groups. He has worked in marquees for both public and private audiences. Julian’s specialist fields are “classic Rock” plus the new rock stuff. 70’s to the late 80’s chart, disco, motown, glam rock etc.

Nick Barton
Nick has been a fantastic party DJ now for the past 25 years, working on corporate events, private functions and various bars, pubs & clubs throughout the whole country. As well as private parties, nick specialises in both Quiz Nights & 70's & 80's Theme Nights.

Jay Hickman
Jay Hickman is a DJ and Producer from Warrington. He has been DJ'ing for four years and has preformed at many known clubs across the north west, ranging from live P.A.'s at Wigan pier and sets at Maximes nightclub. Jay was also made resident at a club called D'dpure in Stockport after 1 night there.

Derek Doggett
Derek has been a DJ since 1986, before that he spent 6 years in a cabaret band playing cover music from the 70’s. He has the equipment to cope with the smallest venue to the largest of conference hall and marquees. Derek has mastered everything from broadcasting to large nightclubs, including 5 years Bass party nights and 6 years at Buggatis night club in Sale. Derek specialises in making people have loads of fun.

Erin Burrell
Erin is an American female currently living in Britain, she is a graduate of the School of Sound Recording Technics DJ Academy in Manchester. Erin has been professionally DJ’ing for approximately 4 years, while her music collection is an eclectic mix of pop, rock, disco and international dance, her favourite music is House. Erin has been resident DJ at Coyotes in Manchester and Hard Rock Café in Manchester. Her knowledge of a wide variety of music and desire to please the crowd and given them a night to remember has attributed to her success as a DJ thus far.

Trevor Heywood
Trevor has been working as a DJ for over 27 years in holiday camps and night clubs. He has more recently been doing mobile work for private functions and also corporate. Trevor specialises in both 70’s and 80’s events, Soul and Tamla Motown Evenings.

Peter Longley
Peter has worked as a DJ for approximately 8 years and sees it not as a job more of a love thing. Peter has hosted many events at different venues, including weddings, birthdays, corporate parties, stars in your eyes competitions and karaoke nights in pubs throughout Manchester. Peter has a great-varied music collection from the 50’s through to last week’s charts, so something for all. His speciality is karaoke; he has over three hundred disks containing well over four and a half thousand songs. Peter was proud to receive the Unit One runner up award 2004 for best karaoke. Whatever your requirements Peter will do his utmost to please you, he is friendly, relaxed and very approachable, it is always service with a smile.

Lee Sanderson
Lee has been in the entertainment business for over 10 years, Lee started working on a cabaret show in 1996 travelling the country, working many major venues, working alongside many other performers. From the experience gained Lee developed his own entertaining personality and started working on his own in 2001. Lee will personalise and tailor each and every event to make it special. Lee has worked school leavers balls right through to 70th birthday parties.

Geoff Webster
Geoff has been DJ’ing for 23 years his first ever job was a daily radio program from a pirate radio station called the peace ship anchored 6 miles off the coast of Isreal. In 1986 Geoff left and started mobile disco until 1991 when he joined red rose gold 999 and then he joined radio city and filled in on the Pete Price phone in for 3 weeks as well as my own shows, the program controller of rock fm heard his phone in and asked me to go back to red rose gold in 1997 where he then presented a late night phone in which would be sometimes controversial, then over the next few years Geoff worked on various radio stations including; Bay FM in Lancaster,107.2 wire fm and KCR. Geoff has also presented roadshows at the St Helens show for Magic 15.48. Geoff did 60s nights at the Southport theatre for Red Rose Gold. during al. Geoff has also maintained work through disco and karaoke across the north west. Geoff doesn’t really specialise in a particular category as he has vast experience in all aspects of DJ work.

Dave Morris
Dave has been DJing since the early 70s and at Unit One DJ since 1992. He's an all round DJ who can play just about anything for anyone. He has a large music collection which reflects every genre of music from current chart back to the big band music of the 40s and 50s. Dave prefers to play for the older crowd who usually enjoy a good mixed bag of music. He tends play mostly at "black tie " and corporate types of functions, which is more suited to Dave as it gives him a chance to play Big Band swing style music.
