an
English
actor,
who
is
most
famous
for
playing
character
Craig
Harris
in
soap
opera,
Coronation
Street.
He
won
the
'Sexiest
Male'
award
at
the
British
Soap
Awards
in
May
2006.
He
played
the
role
of
Craig
Harris
in
Coronation
Street
from
2002
-
2006.
He
was
the
only
member
of
his
on
screen
family
to
escape
the
axe
in
2005,
but
later
left;
his
last
episode
aired
on
October
16th
2006.
Fleeshman
is
also
a
singer.
In
2003,
he
won
a
Stars
in
Their
Eyes
celebrity
special,
impersonating
singer
Will
Young.
He
also
won
Soapstar
Superstar,
a
programme
where
soapstars
sing
against
each
other
in
order
to
win
money
for
charity,
in
2006.
Fleeshman
donated
the
£200,000
prize
money
to
the
Kirsty
Appeal.
Fleeshman
plays
the
piano
and
guitar.
Unlike
his
Coronation
Street
character,
he
prefers
guitar
music
to
the
heavy
goth
music
that
Craig
listened
to
in
the
show.
On
Sunday
22nd
April,
he
performed
on
the
ITV1
show
an
Audience
with
Coronation
Street.
Fleeshman
sang
both
with
Andy
Whyment
who
was
runner
up
of
Soapstar
Superstar,
and
solo,
as
well
as
playing
the
piano.
Fleeshman
is
in
talks
to
take
to
the
stage
playing
Alan
Strang
in a
UK
national
tour
of
Peter
Shaffer's
Equus.
He
will
take
over
from
Daniel
Radcliffe
in
the
role
in
August
2007,
when
it
finishes
its
current
London
run
on 9
June,
prior
to
the
tour.
Richard
has
recently
filmed
'Blue
Murder'
in
which
he
plays
Ben
Holroyd.
He
stars
along
side
another
ex-soapstar
Jill
Halfpenny.
The
pair
will
play
mother
and
son.
The
episode
called
'Crisis
Management'
is
due
to
air
later
this
year
on
ITV.
Fleeshman
has
also
just
signed
a
major
record
deal
with
Universal
Records
and
his
new
single
will
be
released
on
the
5th
of
November
this
year.
