First
arrived
17 October 1996.
Marlon arrived in
the village in a
flashy sports car
driven by a
glamourous blonde,
much to the surprise
of his cousin Mandy.
However, it turned
out that he didn’t
own the car, he was
just being given a
lift.
Character
reference
Marlon is the son of
Zak’s younger
brother Albert and
is smarter than the
average Dingle. He
also works harder
than the rest of the
clan put together.
He is still prone to
scams, though,
particularly now his
brother Eli is in
the village.
Love life
Dated schoolgirl Lyn
Hutchinson in 1997
but she dumped him
at Christmas 1998.
He attempted to win
her back by taking
up her outrageous
challenges such as
dying Eric Pollard’s
moustache pink and
getting his kit off
in the Woolpack.
In 2000 he fell for
barmaid Tricia
Stokes but was
beaten on the path
to love by vet Adam
Forester. He finally
got it together with
Tricia in 2001, a
year later he
proposed to her but
their wedding was
scrapped after a
number of disasters.
She surprised him in
2003 with a St
Valentine’s Day
wedding. But while
Tricia was away, he
had a fling with
cousin Charity.
In 2004, Tricia died
after a New Year
storm. Marlon had a
breakdown and began
stalking the girl
who was given
Tricia’s heart in a
transplant. He then
fell for Donna and
they married in
2006.
