1 Q. Will mobile disco DJs play song requests from our guests?

A. Of course, since making requests is part of the joy of having a mobile disco at your party. Mobile disco DJs will do their best to please everyone.
2 Q. How big a list of songs do mobile DJ's need beforehand?

A.
You needn't supply anything, since mobile disco DJs pride themselves on choosing the right music at the right time in all the right circumstances, always with an eye to getting everyone dancing. Mobile DJ's are happy to take a list of favourites, however, and use it as a guide.
3 Q. Are mobile disco outfits safe and insured?

A.
Mobile discos from Unit One have public liability insurance and portable appliance test (PAT) certificates.
4 Q. What equipment do mobile DJ's use?

A.
Based on the number of guests and the type of function, mobile DJ's vary enormously when it comes to the type of sound and lighting systems used. Obviously, the younger the crowd, the more lively it's going to be, while an 80th birthday party might need just a simple player and speakers - not 3,000 watts, four large speakers, multiple CD decks and a range of flashing lighting systems!
5 Q. How do we pay for a mobile DJ?

A.
Mobile DJ's traditionally deal mostly in cash, but will usually accept cheques provided they clear before the event.

Cash is often handed over to the DJ at the start of the evening. You will also be required to pay a deposit in advance.
6 Q. Can the mobile DJ play longer than planned?

A.
Most mobile DJ's are more than happy to do this, as it represents extra income for the DJ. Again, it's normally result in a cash up front agreement - and the sooner the DJ knows, the better. Of course, you'll also need to ensure the venue is happy with an extension.
7 Q. How long does it take a mobile disco to set up?

A.
Allow between thirty minutes and an hour for a DJ or his crew to set up the mobile disco before the guests arrive - longer at larger venues and/or when extra equipment or safety checks are needed. Set-up times also may vary due to access and location.
