Unit One Clients
After recently winning County Bride Magazine's "North
West Wedding Entertainment Suppliers for 2011", we sent out
the good news to all our friends and business colleges in an
e-mail. The e-mails of support and praise that we got back
in return were amazing and gratefully received. We even
managed to hook up with one or two old Unit One clients like
Ken Kerr, who sent us these kind words and memories in

As a Customer of Unit One for over two years, they are
always our first choice for any of our entertainment needs.
We have very successfully arranged a wide range of different
events, from Christmas Party nights to Wedding Receptions.
All feed back from our customers has always been of a very
positive nature with regards to the standard of
entertainment booked. On an administration point all at the
office handle enquiries and bookings with the up most
professionalism. With this in mind I hope to continue our

From our initial contact with you to the night of our event
your professionalism was outstanding. Your suggestions with
regard to possible acts and ideas were invaluable to us. The
singer was fantastic, our look-a-like meet and greets were
amazing and the casino was just superb. All in all it was a
fabulous evening which was thoroughly enjoyed by all of our
staff. The team at Unit One Entertainments have an
exceptional understanding of client needs and totally

Hi Jon & Steve
In 1984 I started work as the Food and Beverage Manager at
the Village Hotel and Leisure Club in Prestwich. The hotel
was then booked three years ahead every weekend for weddings
and events which was partly due to the good food and service
offered by the hotel but also because we had Unit One on
contract to supply a DJ for every event we did. The deal was
done by my then General Manager Keith Collins and when I
took over his position as GM I had the pleasure of dealing
with your company on an almost daily basis . Tony Thomas was
a gentleman and was a giant in your business and also a
giant of a man. His sense of humour , fun and loyalty were
as huge as the man himself. All these years later I
frequently think back to him and how good he and his company
was. I am still in the business and back in Manchester and I
can honestly say no other company that offers your services
have ever reached Tony’s standards.
It was therefore a great pleasure and a very pleasant
surprise to open this email and discover that Unit One has
gone on from strength to strength . I’m sure he would be
very proud of what you have achieved and I just wanted to
add my congratulations and to put down my memories of the
great man and what he created.

Thank you for getting back to me and sending the photograph.
I saw Tony in many track suits and in all sorts of costumes
including his bishops robes that he wore to entertain the
customers as Desmond Tutu at our Christmas parties one year.
I also seem to remember all the guys had to wear the company
suits when you went out on jobs! Although I don’t think
that’s one that he’s wearing in the photo.
I also remember one of the handful of guys that used to come
to the Village was called Jon, is that you?
I may be in touch to discus using you as we have a hotel,
bistro and 6 wedding venues all of which use the services of
DJ’s.
