- Biography
Steve
developed his DJ skills playing soul and heavy
rock nights in the expanding disco market of the
early 70s. Success in a talent show put his DJ
career on hold as his singing performance won
him a contract with a leading Northwest agent.
This introduced him to the cabaret and social
club scene where he was to rub shoulders with
some of the biggest name acts of the day such
as, Peters & Lee, Tom Jones, The Drifters, Jimmy
Ruffin, Hot Chocolate, Mud etc as well as
numerous comedians. You might have seen Steve
appear on Granada TV's Prime Suspect.
In 1991 Steve got a degree in Electronics and
Computer Engineering during his time as a
technical manager for Radio Bolton. Where he
trained volunteers to use broadcast equipment,
managing OBs and broadcast disciplines.
Steve has Dee Jayed in the hotels and clubs in
southern Spain where he hosted cabaret shows and
organized disco dancing competitions and karaoke
talent nights.
In 2006 he returned from Spain and signed up
with one of the biggest agencies in the
Northwest, 'UNIT ONE', where he has proven to be
a popular choice for corporate venues right
through to house parties. |

Recipe for a successful night's entertainment!!
Steve has many years experience working to
audiences. His endearing 'Jack the lad' style
allows him to respond to any situation
introducing humour as appropriate. Interaction
and participation are his speciality quickly
motivating the audience to join with him to
produce a successful and memorable night.
 Talent night
Whether it's a one night talent show or a
multiple heat competition, the nights
entertainment builds to a crescendo offering
awards for nearly all competitors in addition to
house prizes. Having all the characteristics of
Karaoke Disco, Steve fronts the show with
vocals, karaoke videos, audience interaction and
disco music adding atmosphere to the event.
Real-time recording of each performance adds
dynamics and reflection for the audience. Formal
entry forms are provided and every effort is
made to accommodate the performer's needs
including tempo or key changes. There are six
karaoke books with over 27 thousand songs with
different genres spanning over 80 years of
music.
 Compere/Entertainment support...
An entertainment interface between fellow
artists and other entertainment mediums, i.e.
club musicians, live bands, discos, and karaoke
or talent nights. Working to, or developing time
tables for a full nights entertainment is what
Steve is good at. His organisational skills are
second to none. From stage preparation to
lighting programs, linking presentations to
filling in for absent acts he's done it all.
Steve has a versatile voice capable of
delivering a powerful ballad, classic swing or
just standard rock 'n' pop songs.
