- Biography
Glaswegian singer Rikki Loney was a finalist in
the 2009 series of the UK reality TV show, The X
Factor. Rikki has auditioned in three previous
years of the series, getting as far as the
bootcamp stage in the 2008 series. Loney is 21
years old and as an under 25 males category
finalist, was mentored by Girls Aloud singer
Cheryl Cole. Rikki was eliminated from the
competition on 18th October 2009 after coming in
the bottom two along with Rachel Adedeji. In the
sing-off, he sang Westlife's Flying Without
Wings. However, he was voted off by Simon
Cowell, who had the controlling vote on the
night. His mentor Cheryl Cole commented that she
couldn't believe Rikki had been voted out while
Dublin twins John and Edward were still on the
show. |
