Initially entering The X Factor auditions as solo artists, Liam Payne, Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Zain Malik and Louis Tomlinson were handed a lifeline as they grouped together to form One Direction.

The group impressed Simon Cowell at the judge’s house and the teenage quintet were put through to the live stages.

The line-up boasts strong vocals, dancing ability and, of course, good looks. They are already a huge hit amongst the girls!
