X Factor Finalists
- Biography
Kandy Rain are a four-member girl group from
London who where finalists in the 2009 series of
The X Factor. As part of the groups category,
their mentor for the series was Louis Walsh. The
group formed after auditioning to be in a
7-piece band, when four of the auditionees
decided to form an act of their own. They chose
the name Kandy Rain because "with candy as much
as you love it, you know it’s not good for you
and we’re going to rain on everyone’s parade".
Kandy Rain were eliminated in the first weekend
of live shows on 11th October 2009. They came
bottom of the public vote and entered a sing-off
with Rachel Adedeji. The judge's votes came to a
deadlock situation, resulting in the public vote
being used to determine who should be
eliminated. Rachel Adedeji had more votes in the
phone vote and therefore Kandy Rain were
eliminated from the competition.
