Dominic's Back History
He was born and brought up in Cheshire, on the outskirts of
Warrington.
He knew at an early age that showbiz is where he wanted to
spend his career. He trained at Urchins Stage School
(Warrington) and The Bolton Octagon Theatre school and
appeared in a number of school and amateur dramatics
productions and of course shows at The Bolton Octagon too.
While attending his secondary School, St. Edward's College
in Liverpool, he was called up for an audition to be in the
Dixon family on Brookside. After practicing a 'scouse'
accent with his Mum for 2 days non stop, he was told he'd be
unsuitable for the part because he was taller than Ron!
Radio is where Dominic's passion lay and he started his
radio career at BBC Radio Lancashire after making cups of
coffee on a Saturday Morning. It was there he worked
alongside Richard Hammond (now co-presenting Top Gear) BOB
Roberts (BBC North Network) and Kay Bellwood (now with BBC
Radio Essex.) Dominic primarily wrote scripts and helped to
produce radio shows. His biggest projects was working on
every BBC Radio station in the North alongside Richard and
Bob on 'The Late Show'. He got his first big break when
Radio Napa in Ayia Napa asked him to fly over in 1996.
In 1997 came Dominic's first commercial radio job in U.K. at
newly established Wish FM. Since launching Wish in April
1997, Dominic has worked for Signal 1 presenting a ground
breaking dance music show called NRG. He's also worked at
2BR, Radio Aire, Wire Fm, The Bay and Dune FM. Dominic
hosted Wire FM's breakfast show for almost 4 years, three of
those years were spent co-hosting Dominic and Lou in the
morning. Leading Wire FM to a Radio Academy Gold Award in
2004.
Over the years Dominic has interviewed some big names
including Liberty X, Katie Price, Girls Aloud, John Prescot,
Atomic Kitten, Jason Donovan and Kerry Katona.
In early 2000 after a chance meeting with music industry
manager David White of November Management, Dominic was
given the chance to appear at Wembley Arena on the Steps
Tour and the M.E.N. arena on the 5ive tour.
Dominic's TV credits include Alan - Coronation Street and
various corporate DVD's both on camera and as a voice over.
In addition to the Radio and TV projects Dominic is
currently working on he is the Stadium Host for Warrington
Wolves and Liverpool FC Reserves. Dominic also hosts
corporate events and works as a guest speaker, recent
clients include: Carlsberg-Tetley, and Phones 4 U. When he's
not working he enjoys travelling and his ambition is to be
Stadium Host at Anfield.
