First arrived
22 October, 2000, when he was turfed out of the Rovers by Fred Elliott who thought Kirk was not old enough to drink. He first worked with sister Maria at the kennels owned by their parents but when their folks went to live in Cyprus, Kirk sold his share and now works with Ashley Peacock in the butcher shop.

Character reference
A loveable loser who is easily led. Kirk isn’t the sharpest knife in the box but his heart is in the right place and he’s loyal, dependable and honest.

Love life
Kirk thougt he was a bit of a babe magnet when he first arrived on the Street but was knocked back by everyone he tried flirting with.

But there was one girl who didn’t turn him down – Fiz Brown. It wasn’t long before the pair started going out together. Fiz wanted to keep their relationship secret, though, as she was still seeing Tyrone.

Kirk was gutted when he found out that Fiz had gone back to Tyrone and went all out to win her back. He stood under her window on the cobbles and sang their special song – Slim Shady. It did the trick and Kirk and Fiz were together again.

Kirk then met Thelma Clegg, who got Kirk to shampoo her poodle. She was so impressed that she asked him to call round to her house regularly. Fiz was suspicious and followed Kirk to Thelma’s house where she could see Kirk being entertained by Thelma belly-dancing in her living room. Kirk professed his innocence and said Thelma wouldn’t let him out of the house.

When Molly Compton started work at the kennels, Kirk became the centre of his very own love triangle as Molly and Fiz fought for his love. It was Fiz who won but she dumped him later and accused him of being boring. Kirk tried to win her back by reciting love poetry but Fiz found out he was reading song lyrics and dumped him again. Kirk then proposed to Fiz but once again he was dumped, when Fiz told him that she’d met someone else, John Stape.

Memorable scene
Completing the ‘Labours of Kirkules’ so that he could be Les and Cilla’s best man at their wedding. One of Kirk’s tasks was to capture the girdle of the Queen of the Amazons – or in other words - to get one of Blanche Hunt’s girdles. Also, singing Slim Shady to win back Fiz.

What next for Kirk?
Will Kirk get back together with Fiz? Will anyone else want him? Will he manage not to chop any of his fingers off in his new job as a butcher?
