Abba’s Angels, one of the UK’s premier Abba Tribute groups have been established since 2000. They have appeared on BBC TV’s Children in Need twice, been recently recommended in the Sun newspaper and on the front cover of the Sunday Times Magazine. Abba Tribute Shows are typically either 1hour or 2 x 45 minute sets ( longer if combining with 70’s show ) with several costume changes and the band comes self contained with a high quality sound system and stage lighting. They are available predominantly as a 4 piece Abba Tribute Band but also as a 2 girl Abba Tribute Duo on occasion, Abba’s Angels perform all the best known Abba songs wearing hand-made replica costumes with choreographed dance routines. They are equally comfortable performing at private parties as they are in front of thousands at festivals.
Peter is one of the best guitar players out there on the tribute circuit and also makes a very cute Bjorn, when he drops his normal Welsh accent for a Swedish one!
Having picked up a guitar aged 6 he has worked in almost every musical genre there is including the highly technical jazz area underlining his undoubted expertise
Pete has worked with several professional Abba Tribute acts including Abba 2 Bjorn Belief, Wales’ premier Abba tribute. He has supported Diana Ross, Slade and Sister Sledge.
Louise was recently described as “a vivacious singer with a beautifully rich clear voice” in a testimonial and has the high reaching soprano voice needed for the Agnetha role.
A fully trained singer who has also worked with many other professional Abba bands in a depping capacity and supported the Bay City Rollers, The Troggs and Dave Dee.
Louise’s previous experience covers 15 years in the entertainment business and includes Dr Love and The Disco Divas ( 70’s tribute), Liquid Jazz (piano and vocal jazz duo) , Eightysomething ( 80’s tribute), Party Corporation ( function band) , and Soul’d Out ( 60’s tribute)
With her dancer’s stage presence and deep soulful Frida-like voice, 25 year old Gemma adds a touch of the noughties to the show capturing Abba as they were then not as they are now!
Also a trained singer , Gemma’s previous experience includes doing Abba shows on the Jumpin’ Jaks circuit, singing with Salisbury’s En Masse (40 strong pop/soul vocal harmony group) and teaching singing and dancing at the E Minor Pop Academy.
Gemma is also a professional dancer and has worked with Jamelia, Liberty X and 911.
Mike hails from Wigan originally but now lives in Salisbury, Wiltshire and can play multiple instruments including guitar, bass, drums and keyboards – multi-talented you could say … or a show off!
A great keyboard player and an ever better stage performer, Mike can camp it up with the best of them with his pseudo swede accent and on stage silliness and flirting with his long suffering “wife” Frida
Mike has played with many Wigan based bands like Rehab, The Gringos and the Dave Mace 5 (peculiarly a 6 piece!) as well as other original bands before converting to the Abba tribute world. Obviously now there’s no going back…..
